Farewell My Brother...

Today is exactly 12 days since our friend and also one of Baitul-Ikhlas founder, Insan Kridaman or Idam we used to call him, has passed away. He left us on April 17th 2007, just two days before his birthday. To be honest, we did not expect that he left us so soon, and we were shocked to hear that news. Especially to his wife, Melani and his 5 years old daughter Maika, that he used to call her as my princess.

Idam went to the hospital on Thursday afternoon to check the headache that he had, and after finished with the examination, the doctor said there was a possibility that he had an early stroke symptom and need to be rested for further check. Unfortunately, while the doctor focused with his headache, the thrombosis in his body decreased and it was probably because of he got infected by the dengue fever.

On Thursday night we planned to visits him in the hospital after from the dzikir at Ustadz Jeffry residents in Rempoa. Unfortunately the dzikir finished around 10 pm and we thought that it was little bit late to pay visits the hospital, therefore we decided to visit him on Friday night after Maulud Nabi ceremony in Baiturrahman mosque at Kampung Gedong, Jakarta Timur. And so Aa’ Reza and some members of Baitul-Ikhlas went to see Idam at the hospital after the event, I did not join them but went home to pick-up Yonna and catches them at Kemang Dim Sum later on.

After we were together again, I asked about Idam conditions and Aa’ Reza informed me that Idam was okay but he still weak and had to stay at the hospital for further examination by the doctors. That’s why we were shocked when we heard on Monday he was in coma. When I arrived at the hospital around 8:30 pm, the doctor’s just finish installed the supporting life machine in his body. When we left the hospital together at 11 pm, Idam condition turn out to be worst, and the family of theirs (Idam & Melani) had gathered together at the hospital. Our friends, Ustadz Muheir and Guna Malik stayed at the hospital so we can easily get information from them about Idam conditions.

Finally what we all fear happened, at 1:20 am we had the news that our friend, Insan Kridaman has passed away, "Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilaihi raaji’un", To Allah we belong and to Allah is our return. He was buried after Dzuhur prayed at Tanah Kusir burial ground, the place that we always visited for the past two Ramadhans every time we had Sahur on the Road programmed. The funny thing was Idam used to say that this place (Tanah Kusir graveyard) will be his home at the end of his time, and Allah Ta’aala granted what he has wish for. Farewell my brother, and we’ll see you again in the next life.

Almarhum Idam, uda Arry, Al-Ustadz Muheir, Guna Malik, Aa' Reza & Fahmi @ Idam's Place on Ramadhan 1427H - It will be our last "Sahur on the Road" together with Idam.
