Closer than close

Do we realize that death is the closest natural process that will happen to us? Sometimes we just forget that we are going to die. Even we will be dead before we know it, we are still pretending that we can escape from death, or we also believe that our time to meet the Creator is not coming yet. But it's totally incorrect, just wrong! Allah Taabarakta Ta'aala saying in Al Qur'an, Suurah 7: Al A'Raaf verse 34: "Wa li kulli ummatin ajalun fa idzaa jaa-a ajaluhum laa yasta' khiruuna saa'ataw wa laa yastaqdimuun", or: "To every People is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they Advance (it in anticipation)".

It means we have to prepare ourself by collecting lots of good-deeds during our short lives in this world. Try to take the blessings from Allah or ridha as much as possible, so we can reach the heavens.

We have to remember that every step we make in every single day, death will also watching us. We can't run or we can't hide, because death will always come approaching us from every little corner, even from the place that we never know, death is waiting us.

But we cannot ask to die, or we decides to ended our lives by doing suicides or intending to kill ourself. Allah never want us to do that such of things. Allah is saying in Al Qur'an, suraatul Yuusuf (12) verse 87: "Wa laa tai-asuu mirrauhillaahi innahuu laa yai-asu mir rauhillaahi illal qaumul kaafiruun", in translation: "No one despairs of Allah Soothing Mercy, except those who have no faith".

Also our prophet Nabi Muhammad Shallallaahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam is saying in his hadits narrated by Imam Bukhari from Anas ibnu Malik: "Lawlaa annii sami'tu Rasuulallaahi Shallallaahu 'Alaihi wa Sallama yaquulu: Laa tatamannawul mawta - Latamannaytu". Translated as: If i didn't hear what Rasulullah Shallallaahu 'Alaihi wa Salam said: Don't you expecting death - i will hope to have it.
