The Righteous Person

Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala saying in Al Qur'an that we have to be hurried searching for Allah Forgiveness, so then we can get into the Jannah or heaven that provides by Allah for the righteous person (Al-Muttaqiin). and it is stated in Aali 'Imraan (3) verse 133-134: "Wa saari'uu ilaa maghfiratim mir Rabbikum wa jannatin 'ardhuhas samaa-waatu wal ardhu u'iddat lil muttaqiin. Alladziina yunfiquuna fis sarraa-i wadh dharraa-i wal kaazhimiinal ghaizha wal 'aafiina 'anin naasi wallaahu yuhibbul muhsiniin". Translated as: Be quick in the race for Forgiveness from your God, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous, Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men; for God loves those who do good.

If we look to that the versed above (Al-Ayat) we can describe the righteous person as:

1. A person that is kindly and have a tolerant attitude toward people, and it is easy for them to give their wealth (money) without demand something in return. Not only when they are in fortunate situations and make them easy to do so, but also when they are in difficulties. The appreciation for material wealth is not they top-list priority in life, because they believes that all wealth's equal with delusive choices, and will not lasting for long. But the good deed are what they looking for in this life, together with the blessing from Allah 'Azza wa Jalla.
2. A person that not easy to get angry when other people behave badly to him/her, a person that will not exploded easily when something go wrong, and if their own good plans fail they just make their efforts deeper before leave everything to Allah (afterward).
3. A person that always free from worry or anxiety throughout the lifetime.
4. A person that rather of appointed somebody mistake, he/she always spend most of the time by taking own evaluation (muhasabah & tafakkur). A person that never throw the blame on others, even though it is possible and necessary but he/she just easy to forgive and will cover other person's fault.
5. A person that always have faith, hope and a good assumption toward Allah Rabbul'alamin in every circumstances. When this person finds that he/she has fallen into sin, he/she doesn't whine or despair but asks for Allah Forgiveness, and abandons he/she wrong conduct behavior.

Allah Taabaraka wa Ta'aala explained clearly about the righteous person in suurah Al Baqarah (2) verse 177: "Laisal birra an tuwalluu wujuuhakum qi-balal Masyriqi wal Maghribi wa laakinnal birra man aamana billaahi wal yaumil aakhiri wal malaa-ikati wal kitaabi wan Nabiyyiina wa aatal maala 'alaa hubbihii dzawil qurbaa wal yataamaa wal masaa-kiina wabnas sabiili was saa-iliina wa fir riqaabi wa aqaamash shalaata wa aataz zakaata wal muufuuna bi 'ahdihim idzaa 'aahaduu wash shaabiriina fil ba'saa-i wadh dharraa-i wa hiinal ba'si ulaa-ikal ladziina shadaquu wa ulaa-ika humul muttaquun". Translated as: It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards East or West; but it is righteousness to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Allah, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which you have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the God-Fearing.
